QuranIn30 is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information
- Email address — when you create an account with email/password sign-up
- Apple ID information — when you sign in with Apple (name and email, if you choose to share them)
App Usage Data
- Reading progress and completed days
- Bookmarks and personal notes
- Streak and achievement data
- App preferences and settings
- This data is stored locally on your device and synced to Firebase Firestore when you are signed in, so your progress is available across devices
Location Data
- Approximate location is used only to calculate Qibla direction and prayer times
- Your coordinates are sent to the Aladhan API to fetch prayer times for your location
- Qibla direction is calculated on-device
2. How We Use Your Information
- Account authentication — to create and manage your account via Firebase Authentication
- Welcome email — to send a one-time welcome email when you create an account (via Brevo email service)
- Qibla & Prayer Times — to provide accurate direction and prayer schedule based on your location
- Reading experience — to fetch Quran translations and tafsir from quran.com API
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — for secure account management. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Firestore (Google) — for syncing your reading progress, bookmarks, and notes across devices. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Brevo — to send transactional emails (welcome email only). See Brevo Privacy Policy.
- quran.com API — to provide Quran translations and tafsir content.
- Apple StoreKit — for in-app purchases and subscription management.
- Aladhan API — to fetch prayer times based on your coordinates.
4. Data Storage
- Your reading progress, bookmarks, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device and synced to Firebase Firestore when you are signed in
- Account credentials are managed securely by Firebase Authentication
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
5. Data Retention
Your local app data is retained on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Your Firebase account can be deleted at any time through the app settings, which will remove your authentication data from Firebase servers.
6. Children's Privacy
QuranIn30 does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages but account creation requires users to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in their jurisdiction).
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the app
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of email communications
- Request information about how your data is used
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted authentication through Firebase and secure HTTPS connections for all API communications.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
